Walter Zimmer

Walter Patrick Zimmer, age 71 of Dayton, OH passed away at his home on July 16, 2024. He was born in Wauseon, OH to the late Leo and Dolores (Mahon) Zimmer, was a Vietnam Veteran serving in both the US Marine Corps and the US Army. Walt retired from Wright Patterson Air Force Base where he worked in the Base Information Transfer Center (BITC). He is survived by his sister Julie (Christopher) Marcell, extended family members and friends who will miss him dearly. Walt will be laid to rest at Dayton National Cemetery on Thursday, July 25, 2024 with military honors taking place beginning at 10:00am.
