Yahle, Thomas W., age 84 of Dayton passed away peacefully at Hospice of Dayton on September 1, 2025. He was born August 31, 1941 to Charles and Angela Yahle of Dayton. Thomas was preceded in death by his sisters, Marie “Toni” Kleinhans and Rita Dakin; grandson Nicholas Bundy. He is survived by his loving wife, Suzanne; son, Thomas; daughters and sons-in-law, Lisa (Craig) Dunbar, Marie (Rick) Shipley; brother Charles Yahle; sisters, Judy Byrd and Sue Henry; grandchildren, Erica (Kenneth), Erin, Matthew (Kass), Tyler (Bridget), Katy; great- grandchildren, John, Adaleigh, Henry, Brock, Brielle, Cecilia, Elaina, Nicholas, Lincoln; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Tom attended both Immaculate Conception and Chaminade schools. He and Suzie enjoyed weekends playing cards and fishing with friends Bill, Linda, Bob and Larry in the early years. Family always remained the center of his life. The many Yahle parties and camping trips were celebrated by all when Tom cooked. He and Uncle Beaky’s “Bird Feed El Papio Supreme” is legendary. Fond of trivia, he would sit for hours at the table watching Jeopardy while contemplating the daily crossword puzzle. Tom retired from the Dayton Fire Department after 25 years of service where he both drove the engine and mastered the special culinary requests of his crew. As the owner-operator of Yahle Construction, he enjoyed a hard day’s work with his nephews Kurt, Mike, Eric and son Tommy. He was a lifelong member of the Milton Athletic Club where he served as past Board of Governors President and led many delicious fish fry’s and picnics. Tom spent many days reminiscing with his MAC family at the round table over who had the best golf game. He was also member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Beavercreek and the Dayton Moose Lodge #73. His friendship and cooking skills will truly be missed by all.
