Thomas Richard Harker, age 90, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 10th, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born at St. Elizabeth Hospital on October 15th, 1934.

Tom was a proud graduate of Chaminade High School, Class of 1952. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Navy, where he served honorably for three years. Following his military service, he married the love of his life, Nancy, and began a long and dedicated career with Ohio Bell, where he worked for 40 years before retiring.

Throughout his life, Tom was deeply involved in his community. He coached youth sports and served as President of Dayton View Little League Baseball for more than 15 years. He had a passion for fossil hunting, fishing, auctions, bicycling, running, and later in life, walking.

Tom loved to square dance and was a longtime member of the Gem City Squares Dance Club, where he and his wife Nancy created many lasting memories and friendships.

He was a devoted Husband, Father, Grandfather, Son, Brother, Uncle, and Friend, and was loved and admired by all who knew him.

Tom was preceded in death by his beloved wife Nancy, Daughter Angie, Parents Donald F. & Myrtle J. (Becker) Harker, brother Donald Harker and sisters Mary Jane Harker & JoAnn (Harker)Reyer.

He is survived by his children and their spouses: Thomas Harker Jr. & Karen (Petitti) Harker, Theodore Harker & Andrea (Goin) Harker, Joseph Harker, Rebecca (Harker) Weinland & Craig Weinland, and Karen (Harker) Turner. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, William Voge, fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren, dear Friends Tammy Yohey, Chris Gebhart, Donna Shumate, his lifelong best friend Cliff “Tack” Hammer; and a host of extended family members and dear friends.
