Meyer, Robert B. (Bob) of Sugarcreek Township, passed away Tuesday, September 8 2026 at age 89. Bob was born in Elwood IN, the second son of the late Norb and Vera (Hunstead) Meyer. In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his infant daughter Cynthia Ann, son James, and brothers Roland and Tom. Bob graduated from Delphos St John High School in 1955 and the University of Dayton in 1960. Upon completion of military service, he was employed for 31 years at WPAFB, retiring in 1993 as Chief of Contracting Policy and Contract Clearance divisions. He was an avid sports fan, devoting 50 years to UD basketball as a season ticket holder beginning in 1969. He always cheered his home teams of the Dayton Dragons, Cincinnati Reds and Bengals. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Marcia, sons Dan (Julie) of Centerville, Mike (Linda) of Raleigh NC, daughter Jennifer Faz (Sean Hetrick) of South Lebanon, grandchildren Kate (John) Moran and Chrissy (Chris) Richardson, Michael and Sarah Meyer and Carson Faz, and great grandchildren Lily and Phoebe Richardson. Visitation will be held at St Charles Borromeo 4500 Ackerman Blvd. Kettering, OH on Tuesday September 15, 2026 at 10am, followed with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11am. The family wishes to acknowledge the excellent care provided by Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton and Home Instead. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton.
