Robert "Bob" Hoover

Robert (Bob) Hoover a devoted husband, father, uncle, brother, brother-in-law and friend passed away at home on September 18, 2025 at the age of 77. Bob was preceded in death by his parents Carl and Freida Hoover; his son Zachary James Hoover, his sister Martha Louise Greer and father-in-law Don Loper. Bob is survived by his wife Debbie (Loper) Hoover, daughter Katelyn Hoover, sister and brother-in-law Janie and Dave Norman, and several nieces and nephews. Bob was a proud Marine for six years. He served in Vietnam with E Company, 2nd Battalion, 6th Mar 2nd Mar Division FMF. Bob was the recipient of three Purple Heart Medals. Bob enjoyed fishing and spending time at the lake. A special thanks to Capital Hospice for their compassionate end of life care. The family will receive friends Tuesday, September 23rd from 4:00-6:00 pm with a service immediately after at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to Vietnam Vets of America.
