Obituary

Miller, Richard K., age 78 of Washington Twp., passed away Friday, April 10, 2026. Richard is preceded in death by his son, Richard Bradley Miller. He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Mary; daughter, Ellyn, and her spouse, Elyse Moffi; brother, Harlan Miller and granddaughter, Robin Moffi.

Richard graduated from Miamisburg High School, class of 1965. He then earned his Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from University of Cincinnati. After graduation he worked as a professional Engineer with DP&L and then Vectren. Richard proudly served in the Ohio National Guard for 6 years. Over the years, Richard served as a leader in various organizations. He was a member of TAWASI Men’s Luncheon Club, Ohio Dept Hemophilia Board, Southwest Hemophilia SWOHF, Compassionate Friends, and the MG Club. Richard had a gift of connecting with others, cracked jokes to anyone who would listen, and changed the lives of many people. He was passionate about UC Bearcats basketball, cooking, photography, hockey, travel, and oldies music. He was devoted to his family and had the blessing of seeing his first grandchild, Robin. 

Mass of Christian Burial, 10:30 am Thursday, April 16 at Queen of Apostles Church at the Bergamo Center. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 4:00-7:00 pm at the WESTBROCK FUNERAL HOME, 5980 BIGGER RD. KETTERING. Richard will be buried at Calvary Cemetery following mass. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to “Miami Valley Chapter of Compassionate Friends” or SWOHF (Southwest Ohio Hemophilia Foundation “Brad Miller Scholarship”).
