Richard L. Gonce was born on December 2, 1947 in Springfield, Ohio. He passed away peacefully on February 3, 2026, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He lived a life marked by dedication and hard work. Richard had a successful career as a Computer Programmer with DESC in Kettering. As a proud graduate with an associate's degree, Richard was deeply committed to both his professional and personal endeavors. He will be fondly remembered by his loving wife, Kathleen (Kleczewski) Gonce, who stood by his side through life's journeys. Richard was a devoted father to his children, Denise (Richard) Bowling, Michelle Gonce, and step children Becky (Phillip) McDougal, and Missy Bomberry. He enjoyed and valued his role as a grandfather, leaving behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren: Jacob, Ryan, Morgan, Tucker, Maddie, and Sydney. They brought him happiness and pride, filling his life with laughter and warmth. Richard is preceded in death by his parents, William and Arcula Gonce, and his first wife, Diana Gonce. Their memories will forever be a part of his story and his family’s legacy. Family, friends, and all who knew Richard are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on February 10, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Westbrock Funeral Home located at 5980 Bigger Rd., Kettering, Ohio. The funeral service will follow, commencing at 12:00 PM. He will then be laid to rest in Valley View Memorial Gardens. Richard L. Gonce will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His contributions to his family and community will not be forgotten, and he will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
