Reeves, Paul Spencer, born January 10, 1926 in Ft. Thomas, Kentucky, died October 3, 2008 at Hospice of Dayton. Mr. Reeves served as a First Lieutenant in the U.S. Army. He co-founded P&R Communications of Dayton in 1961. He was a member of the Marion Council #3754 of the Knights of Columbus where he was a former Grand Knight. Mr. Reeves was ordained a permanent Deacon for the Archdiocese of Cincinnati on July 3, 1982 and served at St. Rita Parish in North Dayton for 11 years, where he had volunteered his time as a football, track, and volleyball coach and served on various committees and councils. He was formerly a Pastoral care volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital and he worked on the W.O.R.D.S. program for the blind. Some of the awards he received included a monogram award from Chaminade High School and a Rare Blood Donor Award for the large quantity of blood donated. Mr. Reeves and his wife are currently members of Ascension Catholic Church. He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Joan; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Lisa Reeves of Dayton, Dave and Becky Reeves of Dayton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jan and LeRoy Frederick of Pittsburgh, and Paula and Dan Mix of Orlando; 11 grandchildren, Amanda Flowers, Matthew Frederick, Sarah Frederick, Nikki Hanes, Katie Ward, Amy Reeves, Dan Reeves, Lt. Joseph Reeves, Jeff Reeves, Ben Mix, and Lauren Mix; and six great-grandchildren. Mass of Christian Burial 10:30am Tuesday at Ascension Catholic Church. There will be a private burial at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Cincinnati. The family will receive friends Monday from 4-7pm at The Westbrock Funeral Home, 5980 Bigger Road in Kettering.
