Mrs. Patricia Jeanne Hinders, age 93, of Dayton, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2026. She was born August 2, 1932, daughter of the late John Byron and Irene Olivia (Westendorf) Froehle. Patricia was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years, Thomas Joseph Hinders, her longtime companion Paul Walter Hummel, and her brother Jack Froehle. Patricia is survived by her sister Peggy McCauley, her daughter, Catherine Ann Kinsey, her two sons, Thomas Joseph Jr. and John David, her two daughters-in-law, Mary Worthington and Ann (Neibel) Hinders, her grandchildren Sarah Dickson (Steven) and Claire Worthington Mills (Daniel), and her great grandchildren Grace, Meredith, Charlotte Dickson, and Magnolia and Rosemary Mills. She leaves behind many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.

Family was very important to our mother. She enjoyed working on family albums, and she kept abreast of family news and events. Much of our family history has been lost with her passing.

Throughout her life, mom enjoyed maintaining her house and her yard, and could often be seen planting trees, shrubs and flowers. She devotedly cared for stray animals in her neighborhood, as well. Mom also enjoyed music, dancing, lake visits and boating.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Angels Catholic Church (1322 Brown St., Dayton, OH 45409) on Friday, May 15 at 11:00am.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, May 15, 4:00-9:00pm, at Yankee Trace Golf Club (10000 Yankee St., Centerville, OH 45458).
