Norman C. “Norm” Fix, age 93, of Dayton, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, leaving behind a loving family and a lifetime of wonderful memories.

Norm was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Beverly Fix; his brothers, Jim Fix and Robert Fix; and his sister, Patty Mandell.

He is survived by his four children: daughters Barbara “Kathy” (James) Wright, Linda (Neal) Phillips, and Jeannie (Herb) Stamper; and son Greg (Shannon) Fix. He was also blessed with fourteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren, creating a beautiful family legacy that will continue for generations.

As a young man, Norm proudly served his country during the Korean War as a radio operator aboard a B-29 bomber. It was one of the many remarkable chapters in a life that would span more than nine decades.

Norm believed in enjoying life, and he certainly did. He loved to travel and spent many happy years exploring the country in his RVs. There was something special to him about the freedom of the open road, discovering new places, and simply enjoying the journey.

When he wasn't traveling, Norm loved being on the water. Fishing from his boat brought him many peaceful and enjoyable days. Whether he was behind the wheel of an RV, out on the water with a fishing pole, or simply surrounded by his family, Norm appreciated the experiences that made life meaningful.

His life was full and satisfying. He traveled, he explored, he fished, he served his country, and most importantly, he built a family that grew to include children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Ninety-three years brings with it countless stories, experiences, lessons, and memories. Although Norm's family will deeply miss his presence, they are grateful for the many years they were blessed to have him and for the memories that will remain with them.

His life reminds us that a life well lived isn't measured only in years, but in the places we've been, the experiences we've shared, the people we've loved, and the family we leave behind.

The family will hold private services for Norman, followed by interment at David's Cemetery.

Norm lived a long, full and satisfying life. He will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever a part of the family he leaves behind.
