Liebert (McIlvoy), Louise E., age 85 of Kettering, passed away Wednesday March 18, 2026. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Charles in 2018 and a sister in 2022. She is survived by a daughter; three sons; two sisters; two brothers; 12 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Louise was born to the late Warren Joseph McIlvoy and Mary Cecelia (Gallin) McIlvoy on May 5, 1940 in Mt.Vernon, Ohio. She attended St. Vincent de Paul High School. After graduating high school, she attended and graduated from St. Joseph’s Nursing School in Louisville, KY. After obtaining her degree from nursing school, she married Charles, and they moved to the Dayton area to raise their family. Louise was a registered nurse who had a strong passion for caring for patients who were terminally ill, as well as providing comfort to their families. She worked a majority of her nursing career as an oncology nurse at Kettering Medical Center. Louise’s Catholic Faith was paramount to her as it guided her in her daily living. A Requiem Mass will be held at 11:30 AM, Wednesday, March 25 at Holy Family Catholic Church, 140 South Findlay Street, Dayton. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:00 AM before Mass at the Westbrock Funeral Home, 1712 Wayne Ave. Burial immediately following, Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420. A special thanks to the staff of Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton for the care they have provided Louise for the past two and a half years (especially her aides Char and assistants); as well as the staff who cared for her in the last days of her life.
