Illes, Louis J. Jr., 93 of Dayton, Ohio passed away peacefully on September 12, 2024 after a brief illness.
Louis was born on July 19, 1931 at home in Dayton, Ohio. He attended Holy Name School, and graduated from Chaminade high school in 1950. He attended the University of Dayton before being drafted, and served in the Korean War as an ambulance driver. Upon returning home he worked for NCR, Frank Z Chevrolet and Stenger's Ford before retiring.
He met his loving wife Olga Lorencz at a Hungarian wedding and they were married in 1959. They were active in the Hungarian Club of Dayton, and enjoyed going to all the Hungarian picnics and bacon frys. They were proud of their Hungarian heritage. His loving wife Olga passed away in 2022. Louis is survived by three daughters and sons-in-law; Mary Illes (Max) Pollak, Ann (Chris) Case, Elizabeth (Kacey) Hartman; three grandchildren, Madison (Nate) Torski, Caroline Pollak and William Case.
Mass of Christian Burial, 11:00 am Saturday October 5 at St. Leonard's Chapel. The family will receive friends at 10:00 am Saturday October 5 at the Chapel. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery immediately following. In lieu of flowers, please direct memorial gifts in memory of Louis Illes to:
