Kris A. Brown

Kris Brown, age 47, passed away on June 4, 2025, in Washington Township, Ohio. Born on May 22, 1978, in Kettering, Ohio, to Tim and Sherry Brown, Kris lived a full and vibrant life rooted in family, friendship, and hard work.

A 1997 graduate, Kris went on to earn his Tool & Die certificate from Sinclair Community College. He built a successful career as a carpenter, most recently working with Dayton Wall & Ceilings, where he was known for his skill, craftsmanship, and strong work ethic.

On November 3, 2018, Kris married Tarah Brown, his best friend and soulmate. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, adventure, and unconditional love. Their relationship was a true partnership-marked by mutual respect, playful teasing, deep loyalty, and unwavering support. Whether they were out on the water, traveling, relaxing at their place in Kentucky, or simply enjoying each other's company at home, Kris and Tarah embraced life side by side. He adored Tarah deeply, always proud to call her his wife, and made sure she felt loved every single day.

Kris was a devoted and proud father to his son, Kristopher, born on July 22, 2004. Kris and Kristopher shared an unbreakable bond, and Kris took immense pride in raising a strong, kind, and remarkable young man.

Kris lived life with passion and joy. He loved hunting, fishing, golfing-breaking 100 within his first year-and pulling slots. He found happiness in the water, whether lounging by the pool, boating, or spending time at the beach. His favorite getaway was the place he built in Kentucky, where he enjoyed riding his side-by-side and making memories with family and friends. A lover of classic country music, Kris could often be found with a cold drink in hand and a favorite song playing-whether it was a peaceful evening at home or a night around the fire with friends. Music was a constant companion in his life and a reflection of his easygoing, heartfelt spirit.

Kris also held a CDL license and was admired for his many talents and hands-on skills. Known as the life of the party, Kris had an infectious laugh, a quick wit, and the rare ability to light up any room he walked into. His love for his family and friends was unmatched. He had a special place in his heart for his dogs and a deep admiration for his late grandfather, Beasel, who played a major role in his life.

Kris is survived by his beloved wife, Tarah Brown; his son, Kristopher Brown; his parents, Tim and Sherry Brown; his brother, Timmy Brown, wife Brenda, and their sons Noah and Kaden Brown; and his in-laws, John and Carol Eck. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Grace and Beasel, and Omar Brown. He is also remembered fondly by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family.
