BITTNER, Judith Jan, age 85 of Springboro passed away Saturday, March 14, 2026. Born to Clarence and Theresa Achbach in 1940 in Dayton, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence, her daughter, Debbie, and her brother, Allen. She is survived by sister Patricia Marcum and brother Myron (Jan) Achbach; sons Jeff (Jane) and Mike (Robyn) Bittner, daughters Karen (Tom) Nartker, Beth (Dennis) Hale, and Diane (Kyle) Cornelison and son-in-law Bill Stoeckel; 16 grandchildren, Sam (Alana) and Matt (Allie) Tunnacliffe, Jake, Julia, Jaclyn, and Liam Bittner, Rachel (Aaron) Starr, Nick Nartker, Emma, Anna, and Alex Hale, Sophia Montgomery, Maya, Noah, Nate and Lucy Bittner; and 5 great grandchildren, Merideth, Blake, Henry, Grace, and Elizabeth. Judy attended Julienne High School and graduated from St. Joseph High School in 1959. Soon after graduation she joined a young adult Catholic group where she met her husband, Clarence. They were married on July 7th, 1962 at St. Rita Church in Dayton where she was a parishioner for 62 years. During that time, she served on the Parish Council and was an active member in the Catechumen Program, the Respect Life Committee, the Dayton Catholic Women’s Club, CJ Blue and Green Club, Choir and Twigs. She enjoyed bowling, shopping, playing bridge, watching the UD Flyers, and spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, faithful friend, and devout Christian. Visitation will be at 10:00 am on Tuesday, March 24, 2026 with Mass of Christian Burial following at 11:00 at St. Mary of the Assumption in Springboro, 9579 Yankee St. Private inurnment to be at Calvary Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Hospice of Dayton, or the Pink Ribbon Good.
