Jose Rodriguez

Jose Manuel Rodriguez, age 84 of Centerville, OH passed away at his home on May 30, 2024. He was born in Orocovis, Puerto Rico to the late Eduardo Rodriguez and Eufemia Rodriguez. Along with his parents, Jose was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Carmen Nahir Wys-Zavala in February 2024, and his son Jose G. Rodriguez. Joe, as he was known to friends and family, was very active in his church, becoming Deacon in 1978. He was quiet, hard-working, and loved baseball and Puerto Rican food. He worked at a grocery store chain in Puerto Rico for almost 40 years, rising from butcher to regional manager. His most important role though, came late in life as the full-time caregiver of his beloved wife. He completely, lovingly, and unconditionally dedicated himself to meeting her every need. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Joni and Fred Arnold and grandson, Gerardo (Leudy) Rodriguez. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 13th, 2024, 1:00pm-1:30pm, followed by a funeral Mass at 6245 Wilmington Pike, Centerville, OH 45459.
