Jerry Paul Wasson, age 85, of Tipp City, passed away peacefully on September 11, 2026, at Ohio's Hospice of Miami County.

Jerry was born on April 21, 1941, in Dayton, Ohio, to David and Valora (Allis) Wasson. He was a proud graduate of Vandalia Butler High School and earned his degree as a Dental Technician at Elkhart Institute of Technology.

He married the love of his life, Sharon, and together they shared 64 wonderful years of marriage.

Jerry began his career owning and operating a dental laboratory business. He later joined the family business, Quality Beer Distributors, where he worked for many years until his retirement. After retirement, Jerry worked alongside his son Gregg, former owner of B-Jays Drive Thru.

Jerry was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, "Papa," and great-grandfather. Jerry enjoyed trapshooting, and he and Sharon cherished their lifelong friendships and the many memories they made spending time together with family and friends. They were also familiar faces at countless sporting events, rarely missing a game or special event as they cheered on their children and grandchildren.

Family was the center of his life and nothing brought Jerry greater joy than spending time with his family and watching those he loved grow and succeed. Known for his unwavering devotion to his family and those he loved, Jerry leaves behind a legacy of love, perseverance, and integrity.

Jerry is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon Wasson; son, Gregory Wasson; grandchildren, Jarett (Nicole) Wasson, Cassidy (Grant) Zawadzki, and Allie (Ryan) Peltier; and great-grandchildren, Parker, Griffin, and Brinley Zawadzki.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Valora Wasson, and his sons, David “Todd” Wasson and Rodney Elmer Wasson.

Jerry will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

A private graveside service for family and a small circle of close friends will be held in the Mausoleum Chapel at Woodland Cemetery in Dayton, Ohio, at 2:00 p.m. on October 2, 2026.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Todd and Rodney Wasson Memorial Scholarship Fund, established in honor of his sons, Todd and Rodney, to support future generations of Butler High School students through the Vandalia Butler Foundation or Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton at Ohio’s Hospice Give.
