It is with deep respect and fond remembrance that we announce the passing of Jeffrey Malcolm Brenner, known to many as Jeff, who left us on July 11, 2026. Born on March 26, 1953, in Dayton, Ohio, Jeff’s life was rooted in the city where he first drew breath and, ultimately, found his rest.

Jeffrey was the beloved son of John L. Brenner and Margaret (Barclay) Brenner, both of whom preceded him in death. He also mourned the loss of his beloved wife, Sandra K. Brenner; brothers, Doug, Keith, and Bruce Brenner, during his lifetime. Despite these losses, Jeffrey persisted, carrying forward the values and strengths instilled in him by his close-knit family.

Jeffrey’s greatest joy in life came from his role as father, grandfather, and uncle. He is survived by his cherished daughter, Erin Brenner. Through Erin, Jeffrey’s legacy lives on in his adored grandchildren, Evie and Asher. He also leaves behind several loving nieces and nephews—Chandel, Chris, and Jamie—each of whom held a special place in his heart.

Family was always central to Jeff’s life. Whether offering words of encouragement, reflecting on memories, or sharing laughter at family gatherings, his presence was a source of strength and warmth to those who knew him. His gentle manner and steadfast support provided comfort during times of hardship, and his wisdom was sought by loved ones near and far.

Jeff worked as a Computer Scientist with WPAFB for many years and was a proud US Army veteran.

Throughout his years, Jeffrey exemplified resilience and kindness. While this obituary cannot encompass every story or detail of his accomplishments and endeavors, his relationships and the indelible marks he left on those closest to him reflect the depth and sincerity of his character.

A graveside service with military honors for Jeff will be held at Woodland Cemetery, located at 118 Woodland Avenue, Dayton, OH 45409, on September 1, 2026, beginning at 2:00 p.m. All who knew Jeff, shared in his life, or wish to pay their respects are invited to attend and honor his memory.

Though he will be greatly missed, the love Jeffrey extended to family and friends endures, and his memory will continue to inspire all who had the privilege to know him.
