Eugenie (Genie) Vogel Maus passed away peacefully on August 18, 2026 at the age of 83. She was preceded in death by her parents, Eugene and Eileen (Huff) Vogel. Genie is a proud 1960 graduate of Julienne High School. She graduated from the University of Dayton in 1964. After graduation, she worked at Dayton Power & Light as a home economist. Genie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She was a substitute teacher for Kettering City Schools. Genie was a member of St. Charles/St. Albert Catholic Churches. Her activities included South Dayton Home Economist, UD Golden Flyers, tennis, golf, travel, volunteer work, and gardening. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years, Frank. She is also survived by her children; Frank (Brenda) Maus, Becky (Mike) Schaaf, Debbie (Todd) Waker, and grandchildren; Joey (Hannah) Maus, Jake (Natalie) Maus, Andrew Waker, Ashley (Dan) Magers, Allison Schaaf, and Jennifer Schaaf; and great grandchildren Weston Maus and Wyatt Maus. Genie is survived by brothers Tim (Martha) Vogel, Tom Vogel, and Steve (Lisa) Vogel. She is survived by sisters-in-laws Carol Tapp and Shirley Vergamini.

Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, August 22, 2026 from 10-11am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Kettering. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in her honor by Fr. Dan Meyer beginning at 11:00am. She will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.

Memorial gifts may be made in Genie's name to St. Charles Borromeo School to support the students in honor of Genie Maus.
