During her career as a professional secretary, she worked for Dayton firms including Green & Ladd, Third National Bank, Winters Bank, and the law firm of Lair, Owen and Meadows. She moved to the Chicago area in 2016 and lived at Celebrate Senior Living, where she was able to receive care and support for dementia until her passing.Donna loved to travel and took many trips during her young adulthood including Hawaii, California, the Bahamas and Cape Cod. She also dearly enjoyed visiting her nieces and nephews when they lived at air force bases including Edwards Air Force Base, and bases in Alabama and Charleston, South Carolina. After the birth of her son Robert in 1973, she devoted as much time as possible to him while continuing to work. She supported him in his education and was instrumental in helping him earn the rank of Eagle Scout in 1991. When Robert went to Loyola University Chicago in 1992, she enjoyed making frequent trips to the windy city over the years, and accompanied Robert on several of his work trips when he worked at the American Bar Association. She is survived by Robert, his wife Tammy and their children Zach and Veronica; her sisters Jane Jancauskas and Lois Payne and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Joan Westendorf; and her brothers-in-law Alidore (Jan) Jancauskas, and Tom Westendorf.
