Charles "Chuck" W. Atallah, Jr.

Charles "Chuck" W. Atallah, Jr., of Huber Heights, OH went home to the Lord on Sunday, June 29, 2025 at the age of 74.

Chuck was born on February 8, 1951 to the late Charles Woodrow Atallah, Sr. and Barbara (Mihalich) Atallah, in Sewickley, PA and lived a life marked by quiet strength, kindness, and deep devotion to those he loved.  He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.

After graduating from Moon High School in 1969, Chuck attended Allegheny Community College.  He soon joined the United States Air Force, where he served for six years, training at Sheppard Air Force Base in Texas in the civil engineering mechanical and electrical field.  Following his active duty, Chuck became a high-voltage electrician with the 88th Air Base Wing at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, dedicating a total of 40 years of his career to military service.

Chuck shared 30 wonderful years of marriage with his wife, Rosemary (Hayslip) Atallah, with whom he built a life rooted in love, laughter, and resilience.  He is survived by his children: Brad (Stephanie) Webb, Dean Webb, and Veronica (Dan) Rickmon (Atallah), his cherished grandchildren: Brianna (Tristan) Mathewson, Bailey (Jared) Dimeff, and Brandy (Zach Dano) Webb; and his treasured great-grandchildren: Stella Mathewson, Amelia Mathewson, Araily Dano, and Liljana Dimeff.  Chuck also shared a special bond with his bonus granddaughter, Nevaeh Inman.

He is also survived by his siblings Abraham Atallah (Connie), and Dorie (Atallah) DeSafey (David), as well as David (Sheila) Grusenmeyer, Mike (Karen) Hayslip, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, all of whom held a special place in his heart.

Chuck loved his family deeply and made every moment with them count. He also valued his friendships and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life - fishing, camping, and traveling brought him great joy and peace.

A private ceremony will be held for immediate family members at the Dayton National Cemetery.

A Celebration of Life will be held in his honor on Friday, August 8, 2025 from 1-4pm at the Beavercreek VFW, 2389 Dayton Xenia Rd., Dayton OH 45434.  All who knew and loved Chuck are welcome to attend and share in remembering his life and legacy.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt gratitude to the Huber Heights EMS, a very special nurse, Christie Lemons, and the entire Kettering Home Health team - Sarah, Wes, Lori, Rene, Stacy and Julie for the compassionate and dedicated care they provided to Chuck, so much so, that he considered them to be extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Wounded Warrior Project, a cause that was close to Chuck's heart.

Chuck will be forever remembered, deeply missed, and always loved.
