CHARLENE A. LEHMANN, age 87, of Beavercreek, passed away peacefully in her home on February 15, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Dayton on August 5, 1938, the daughter of Wilbur and Margaret (Rike) Herz.
Charlene was a 1956 graduate of St. Joseph Commercial High School. She later attended the University of Dayton, where she would meet the love of her life, Joseph Lehmann, and together they would share the next sixty-five years. She proudly spent her time as a Domestic Engineer, raising eleven children. In her free time, she enjoyed many forms of arts and crafts, including sewing, knitting, crocheting, ceramics, needle point and doll making. She was known for her baking skills, especially her cookies, brownies and pies! Charlene enjoyed her outings with friends and the time she spent traveling and taking trips with her family.
Charlene leaves behind her husband, Joe Lehmann; children, Jean Lehmann, Joe (Melissa) Lehmann, Amy Lehmann, Janet Lehmann, Jerry (Melissa) Lehmann, Julie (Ryan) Sullivan, Nicci (Guy) Fogle and Andy (Pam) Lehmann; grandchildren, Renee, Joseph, Jenny, Jessie, Jacob, Ann, Isaac, Nicholas, Patrick, Natalie, Wyatt and Wesley; great-grandson, Conner, along with a brother, Jim Herz.
In addition to her parents, Charlene was preceded in death by three children, Ann (Edward) Deen, Robert Lehmann and Mary Ellen Lehmann; sister, Theresa (Bill) Medley.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 9:30-10:30am at St. Luke Catholic Church, 1440 North Fairfield Road, Beavercreek. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Charlene’s honor by Fr. Uriel Santos beginning at 10:30am. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Dayton.
