It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bridgette Gay Miller, who departed this life at the age of 70.
Bridgette is a beloved sister, cousin, aunt, and cherished matriarch whose love and presence meant so much to everyone blessed to know her. Bridgette valued family deeply and was someone others could turn to for comfort or simply a listening ear. She will be remembered for her warm spirit, her love for family, and the joy she found in life’s simple pleasures. Bridgette enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, trying her luck with scratch-offs, crocheting, and most of all, spending time at family gatherings where she created memories that will last forever.
Bridgette attended Jefferson High School and in the 1980s pursued nursing studies at Sinclair Community College, reflecting her caring nature. She later worked at Miami Valley Hospital as a nurse aide, known during that time as a “candy striper,” a name given because of the pink and white uniforms worn while caring for patients. Her role in healthcare showed her compassionate heart and natural desire to help others. Bridgette was also a faithful member of Germantown Pike Church of Christ, where she found community and spiritual strength.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sister Kim (Edward) Everhart; her brothers Robert Jr., Terry Sr. (Letitia), and Carlos Miller; her nephews Terry Jr. and James; her nieces Tonya (Robert) Chinn, Meleah, Melinda (Carlos) Hill, Lisa, and Tina; her (4) great-nieces and (8) great-nephews; along with a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her father Robert Miller Sr., her mother Beulah Miller-Carter, and her brother Brian Miller.
Bridgette’s love, laughter, and the memories she shared will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Though she is no longer with us physically, her spirit will forever remain a part of our family.
Forever in our hearts.
Family and friends are invited to gather on Saturday, February 21, 2026 from Noon until 1:00pm in the WESTBROCK FUNERAL HOME- DAYTON, 1712 Wayne Avenue, where a celebration of Bridgette’s life will begin at 1:00pm.
