ALICIA KIRKLAND “LISA” BIDWELL, age 56, of Kettering, peacefully passed on June 23, 2025 surrounded by her family. She was born in Columbus on June 26, 1968, the daughter of James and Vicki (DeWeese) Kirkland.
Lisa was light and laughter, always bringing joy to everyone and everything. She was a passionate artist, and a more passionate Ohio State tailgater! She could often be found at her happy place, sitting lakeside at Indian Lake. Lisa was a devoted mom, beloved daughter and was cherished by the many friends she made along the way.
Lisa leaves behind her three beloved children, Nathalie (Reid Larkin) Bidwell, Nicole Bidwell and Andrew Bidwell; parents, James and Vicki Kirkland; sister, Heather (Gregg) Mullen, along with a niece, Hailey Mullen.
She was preceded in death by Thomas and Zita Bidwell.
Lisa’s family invites you to join them in celebration of her life on Thursday, June 26, 2025 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the WESTBROCK FUNERAL HOME- KETTERING, 5980 Bigger Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Lisa’s honor on Friday at 1:00p.m. in St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 4500 Ackerman Blvd., Fr. Dan Meyer presiding.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in Lisa’s name to Women’s Wellness Fund c/o Kettering Health Network Breast Evaluation Center.
Lisa leaves these words for all of us… “I want to emphasize that I did not lose…I won every single day of this life with cancer, and I won in death because of my faith and belief in God’s promise of Heaven. I won because I got to be a mom and live the most wonderful life with my children, and all of us together, lucky, blessed and winning.”
