It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Alan Roland Johnson, who left us on Friday, December 5, 2025 at the age of 75. Alan was born in Dayton on March 13, 1950 and remained a proud Dayton resident and UD Flyer fan for his lifetime. Alan was an avid runner and sportsman. He was a proud teacher in the Dayton Public School system, retired after 35 years, and made an impact on many students, teachers, and parents throughout his career.

Alan was a devoted husband, father, son, and brother. He is survived by his wife Ana, daughter Audrey, and son-in-law Marc Benacquisto. He joins in eternal rest his parents Robert and Carlyle, and brothers Robert, Gawayne, and Bruce.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Thursday, December 11 at St. Francis of Assisi Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 am Thursday at the church. Interment will follow at Woodland Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Huntington Disease Society of America at https://hdsa.org/, honoring Alan’s commitment to research and finding a cure for HD.
